I’m back from SPX (photos and report to come later in the week). Thanks to everyone who came by our table and said hello! I had a fantastic time, despite the severe lack of sleep on the Friday that we arrived from Toronto. I completely sold out of the Jellaby chapter one minicomic at this show, which was a huge surprise for me. I’ll likely make another print run for this mini- it’s surprising how well it’s been selling.
But for the moment, it’s on to newer and better things! The new full-colour Jellaby Homage Series is now available for purchase on the internet. 28 pages of full-colour Jellaby illustrations and comics, a pop-up card kit, and general silliness: click here to buy a copy now!
While I’m plugging zines and minis, it’s worth mentioning that Kevin Fanning has a new zine, Fever Dream Ghost Book #1, that’s totally worth your time, and even though Drew Weing’s Blar isn’t available for purchase yet on the web (it was arguably the best mini at SPX), you can still go and visit Drew and Eleanor’s Little House website and marvel at (and perhaps purchase) all their beautiful minis.
And just a couple of blogs that I’ve been catching up on: Enrico Casarosa’s new WordPress-powered blog has a new Unabashed Comic of his Italian exploits; Johane Matte has been posting all sorts of arty goodness to her new blog; and Fabio Moon has been drawing a whole series of stick figure comics on his (and his brother’s) blog that I can totally relate to.
