I’ve been a long-time fan of Michel Gagné’s work, and his latest animated series of shorts, “Insanely Twisted Shadow Puppets,” are now online for your viewing pleasure. Animated for Nickelodeon’s “Halloween Shriekin Weekend,” they’re all wonderfully bizarre and unique. “Poor Cat” is probably my favourite.

Elsewhere on the internet, Jonathan Klassen and Daniel Rodrigues have put their student film online, much to my delight. A classmate of Vera’s from Sheridan College’s animation program, this was definitely one of the highlights from the student screening that I attended. Watch “An Eye for Annai” here. And while I’m on the subject, if you haven’t yet seen Vera Brosgol and Jenn Kluska’s own student film, “Snow-Bo,” you really owe it to yourself to check it out.
